Net of Jewels by Ellen Gilchrist
Book Number:RC 36436
360 pages on 9 sides
read by Laura Giannarelli
Southern college student Rhoda Manning is bright, spoiled, and naive. She
loves poetry, wins writing and swimming contests, and hates the way her
parents keep uprooting her and ignoring her accomplishments. With an endless
supply of Daddy’s money, Rhoda struggles to grow up, learning about pills,
alcohol, sex, civil rights, motherhood, and homosexuality along the way.
Strong language and explicit descriptions of sex
This book wandered, not just from the main topic, there was no main topic.
It was a disjointed story of a girls screwed up life. I kept reading,
hoping that she would get to the point, that Rhoda would either straighten
up or just die. But neither happens. I didn't care for it at all. I give
it a 1 out of 5.
Happy reading,
Carla/TexasRed.

Yeah, sounds wrong. Not a very positive story.
